Senior Tax Accountant

Let’s be honest—tax season is tough. But it’s a whole lot better with the right team.
At Grey CPAs, we’re on the hunt for a sharp, motivated Senior Tax Accountant who loves numbers and people. You’ll take the lead on client tax filings—from kickoff to e-file—while helping us deliver the kind of service that makes clients actually look forward to working with their accountant.

We’re a collaborative, full-service firm that takes our work seriously—but not ourselves. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows your way around an 1120s even when the internet goes down and a good spreadsheet shortcut, let’s talk.

  • Tax compliance: ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations across various industries.
  • Tax reporting: prepare and file various tax reports, including income tax returns and other relevant forms.
  • Tax planning: assists in developing strategies to optimize client tax liabilities.
  • Financial analysis: analyze financial data to uncover tax-saving opportunities and minimize tax risks.
  • Reconciliation: regularly reconciles tax-related accounts and other financial accounts.

In addition to these responsibilities, you may be called upon to contribute to other projects requiring collaboration efforts. Should your primary tasks become overwhelming, we encourage you to communicate your needs for additional support to maintain timely turnarounds.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

5 plus years in taxation, tax planning, reconciliation, public accounting

Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations

Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Home office setup (computer provided)

Ability to work from home uninterrupted

Preferred Requirements:

Working towards acquiring credentials (EA or CPA)

EA- Enrolled Agent

CPA- Certified Public Accountant
